Deliver the unexpected in the CBD

Bike SA has been busy delivering the ‘Be Safe Be Seen’ presentations around the Adelaide CBD, and the feedback is amazing. But the people we most want to speak to are those who don’t think they need to come along…

So, why wouldn’t you attend one of these sessions if it was offered at your workplace? It’s free, it’s only 30mins, you get a free giftpack including membership to Bike SA, and it will help you stay safe on the road.

Perhaps you ride every day and already know your stuff? Maybe you’ve never ridden on the road and always drive to work? Or maybe, you ride sometimes but aren’t serious enough about it to be interested in attending?

Feedback from participants is showing that cyclists, and motorists, of ALL levels of experience can take away new information:

““I think we all got something out of this presentation…it’s something everyone should get to attend, cyclist or not. A regular rider here said it was much better and more practical than he ever expected – he thought it would be all just ‘wear fluro’, which it obviously wasn’t.”
– Dallin, Majoran Distillery, Adelaide CBD.

These presentations contain new information and discuss not only the types of crashes that are placing cyclists most at risk of injury, but some of the ‘best practice’ strategies we can use to avoid them.
They also deliver tips straight from the horses’ mouth, so to speak – cyclists who have been hospitalised following road accidents.

The presentations offer the chance to hear what they believe contributed to their accident, and what they now do differently as a result – whether they were at fault or not.

If you work in the CBD, get your workplace to host a FREE session or two and do your part to improve cyclist safety on our roads.
